Together, we can help people with disabilities live an empowered life.

Opportunity Center-Easterseals prepares and places people with disabilities into meaningful roles by working with referring agencies and hiring partners.

How It Works

Clients are referred to us by referring partners.

The Opportunity Center is a nationally accredited, non-profit organization that provides training and employment to disabled or at risk individuals, including welfare to work. We work with referring partners and governmental agencies to determine eligibility and evaluate needed services within our workforce development program.

Who are workforce programs for?

The workforce program is for those with disabilities seeking employment in a competitive, integrated environment. Its format helps people with disabilities develop the skills they need to enter the workforce in a high-growth, high-demand occupation as quickly as possible.

Who qualifies for workforce development programs?

  • Be an Alabama resident
  • Have a physical or mental impairment that is a substantial impediment to employment
  • Must be able to benefit from services in terms of going to work

Let’s Work Together

Without Opportunity Center and partnerships from agencies and local businesses, it’s difficult for people with disabilities to prepare and find jobs that are a win-win for them and their employers. This is discouraging and causes people to lose hope.

Together, with your partnership, we empower people with disabilities to discover their capabilities and do meaningful work across many fields and duties.

As a consumer or referring agency, you can partner with Opportunity Center to access the job training, opportunity, and support needed for people with disabilities to live empowered lives.

Vision

When organizations work together, every person with a disability can access the job training, opportunity, and support they need to live an empowered life.
